The Holy Quran as a Standard for Linguistic Correctness and Rhetorical Eloquence Among the Ancients and the Moderns

Abstract

يهدف هذا البحث للكشف عن القيم الحضارية المعاصرة، من حيث المفهوم والنموذج؛ وذلك وعيًا بأهمية اشتباك الفكر الإسلامي معرفيًّا مع هموم الإنسان المعاصر وتطلعاته، بجانب أن توضيح مفهوم هذه القيم يُسهم في تأسيس النقاش حولها على تَصوّر صحيح .وقد جاء البحث في تمهيد ومبحثين وخاتمة؛ واهتم المبحث الأول ببيان مفهوم القيم الحضارية المعاصرة، فيما أوضح المبحث الثاني ما يمكن اعتباره نموذجًا لهذه القيم.وخلص البحث إلى أن "حقوق الإنسان" تمثل نموذجًا أصيلاً للقيم الحضارية المعاصرة، يمكن الإفادة منه والبناء عليه فيما يتصل بالدعوة للحوار بين الثقافات والحضارات. ولفت البحث إلى أنه رغم وجود تَعدد في الرؤى والمنظورات فيما يخص حقوق الإنسان، فإن ثمة قاسمًا مشتركًا بينها يمثل جوهر القيم الحضارية المعاصرة.

Abstract

This research aims to uncover contemporary cultural values, in terms of concept and model. This is done out of awareness of the importance of Islamic thought's cognitive engagement with the concerns and aspirations of contemporary humanity. Furthermore, clarifying the concept of these values contributes to grounding the discussion around them in a sound understanding. The research consists of an introduction, two chapters, and a conclusion. The first chapter focused on explaining the concept of contemporary cultural values, while the second chapter explained what could be considered a model for these values.The study concluded that "human rights" represent an authentic model of contemporary civilized values, which can be utilized and built upon in connection with the call for dialogue between cultures and civilizations.The study pointed out that despite the diversity of visions and perspectives regarding human rights, there is a common denominator among them that represents the essence of contemporary civilized values.
