Imam Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani and His Contribution Towards Advocacy

Abstract

يعد الشيخ عبد القادر الجيلاني أحد أئمة القرن السادس الهجري ؛ الذين كان لهم دور كبير في الدعوة والإصلاح ، ومواجهة الأفكار المنحرفة في عصره ، حيث تعرضت الأمة في هذا العصر لانحطاط في الأخلاق والقيم وإقبال على الدنيا وإهمال للآخرة ، ومواجهة الخطر الصليبي للبلاد ، فهيأ الله تعالى الشيخ الجيلاني فأحيا القلوب بمواعظه ، وبذل الجهد في دعوة الأمة وتربيتها ، وأسهم في إعداد الجيل الذي واجه الصليبيين ، ومن هنا تكمن أهمية هذه الدراسة في الاستفادة من حياته وتجاربه الدعوية والإصلاحية . والهدف من هذه الدراسة توضيح دور الإمام الجيلاني في الدعوة والإصلاح ، وبيان أثره في مواجهة العقيدة المنحرفة . وسيستخدم الباحث في هذه الدراسة المنهج الاستقرائي التحليلي ، حيث يتتبع حياة الإمام وتجاربه الدعوية ومقاومته للأفكار المنحرفة ، ثم يقوم بتحليلها . ومن النتائج المتوقعة لهذه الدراسة :  أن الشيخ عبد القادر الجيلاني أعطى عناية خاصة لإصلاح التصوف، وإعادته إلى مفهوم "الزهد" ثم توظيفه لأداء دوره في خدمة الإسلام وإصلاح المجتمع.

Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani is one of the imams of the sixth century AH. Who had a major role in preaching reforming, and confronting the deviant ideas of his era, as the nation in this era was subjected to a decline in morals and values, a desire for this world, and a neglect of the afterlife and confronting the Crusader threat to the country. God Almighty prepared Sheikh Al-Jilani and revived the hearts with his sermons and made an effort to call the nation. He raised them and contributed to preparing the generation that faced the Crusaders. Hence the importance of this study lies in benefiting from his life and his preaching and reform experiences. The aim of this study is to clarify the role of Imam Al-Jilani in preaching and reform and to demonstrate his impact in confronting deviant doctrine. In this study, the researcher will use the inductive and analytical method, as he traces the life of the Imam, his preaching experiences, and his resistance to deviant ideas, and then analyzes them. Among the expected results of this study: Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani gave special attention to reforming Sufism, returning it to the concept of “asceticism” and then employing it to perform its role in serving Islam and reforming society.
