The Multiplicity of Narrative Structures in the Story of Moses Peace Be Upon Him: A Study of Rhetorical Dimensions and Teleological Implications

Abstract

يبرز البحث الإعجاز القرآني في تعدد القصص، من خلال تعدد سرد قصة سيدنا موسى -عليه السلام- في أكثر من موضع في القرآن الكريم، ويؤكد على إعجاز القرآن في كون القصة تُساق في أكثر من موضع، وفي كل مرة تكون في سياق مختلف، وبصياغة متنوعة، وفي بنى متعددة؛ على نحو يشدّ القارئ ويجذبه، فهي تُعاد في كل مرة بذكر جزء منها متوافق مع السورة التي وردت فيها، ما يؤكّد عظمة القرآن الكريم، وبديع ألفاظه؛ بحيث يستحيل أن يكون من تأليف البشر، مع الإشارة إلى أهداف تعدد السرد القرآني، وأثره على السلوك الإنساني، كما يُشير البحث إلى الحِكّم والدروس المُستفادة من تعدد العبارة والقصة في سياقات مختلفة، وألفاظ مترادفة في القرآن الكريم، ويبيّن أنه من سمات القصص القرآني؛ حيث يتعدد ذِكر القصة الواحدة في كثير من السور، وفي كل مرة يتنوع السياق، ويتعدد الأسلوب، وتَرِد القصة بعبارات جديدة، تفتح آفاقًا للمعاني والفوائد، وأنماطًا متنوعة من أساليب البلاغة والبيان، وقد مزج البحث بين أكثر من منهج: الاستقرائي الجزئي، والتحليلي، والوصفي، ومن أهم النتائج التي توَّصل إليها البحث، أن تعدد السرد في القرآن يُضيف في كل مرة معنًى بلاغيًا، ورسالة دينية وخُلقية سامية، وأن لتعدد السرد القرآني فوائد جمة وأغراض بلاغية كثيرة، وهذا من الإعجاز القرآني، ويوصي البحث بالتَّوسع في دراسة الظواهر البلاغية في القصص القرآني؛ لأهمية هذا الجانب في الكشف عن أسرار الخطاب القرآني، كما يوصي بتفنيد الشُبَه المثارة حول القرآن الكريم من قِبل المستشرقين وغيرهم، في قضية تعدد السرد، وتفنيد هذه الشُبَه، وذكر فوائد التعدد والحِكمة منه، وأثره على النفس والسلوك الإنساني.

This research highlights the Qur’anic miracle in the multiplicity of stories, specifically through the repeated narration of the story of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) in several places throughout the Qur’an. It affirms the miraculous nature of the Qur’an in presenting the same story in multiple contexts—each time with different wording, varied structures, and distinctive stylistic features that capture and engage the reader. In every instance, only the portion of the story that corresponds to the theme of the surah is presented, which underscores the majesty of the Qur’an and the eloquence of its expressions, making it impossible to be of human authorship.The study also sheds light on the objectives of this multiplicity of narration and its impact on human behavior. It emphasizes the wisdom and lessons derived from the variation of expression and story across different contexts and synonymous wording within the Qur’an. This phenomenon is shown to be one of the hallmarks of Qur’anic narrative: the repetition of the same story across different surahs, with the context, style, and phrasing changing each time, thereby opening new horizons of meaning, diverse benefits, and multiple modes of eloquence and rhetoric.The research employs a blend of approaches: partial inductive, analytical, and descriptive. Among the most significant findings is that the multiplicity of narration in the Qur’an adds a new rhetorical meaning each time, alongside profound religious and ethical messages. It also demonstrates that this diversity serves numerous rhetorical purposes, which constitute part of the Qur’anic miracle.The study recommends further exploration of rhetorical phenomena in Qur’anic stories, given their importance in uncovering the secrets of Qur’anic discourse. It also calls for refuting the doubts raised by Orientalists and others regarding the multiplicity of narration, by clarifying its benefits, wisdom, and influence on the human soul and conduct.
