الأداء النطقي ورضا المتعلمين في بيئات التعلم الرقمية: دراسة شبه تجريبية باستخدام تطبيق Duolingo في ماليزيا

Pronunciation Performance and Learner Satisfaction in Digital Learning Environments: A Quasi-Experimental Study Using Duolingo in Malaysia

Abstract

يهدف هذا البحث إلى تقصي أثر توظيف تقنية الصوتيات عبر تطبيق Duolingo  في تحسين مهارة النطق لدى متعلمي اللغة العربية، إلى جانب استكشاف مستوى رضا المتعلمين في بيئات التعلم الرقمية. واعتمد البحث المنهج شبه التجريبي باستخدام تصميم المجموعتين (التجريبية والضابطة) مع القياسين القبلي والبعدي، وشملت العينة (60) طالبًا من بيئة تعليمية دولية في ولاية سلانجور بماليزيا.وأظهرت النتائج تحسنًا ذا دلالة إحصائية في أداء المجموعة التجريبية، مع حجم أثر متوسط (Cohen's d)، في حين لم تُظهر المقارنة البعدية فروقًا ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعتين، رغم تفوق المجموعة التجريبية في المتوسطات الحسابية. كما أظهرت النتائج ارتفاع مستوى رضا المتعلمين عن استخدام التطبيق.ويخلص البحث إلى أن توظيف تطبيق Duolingo  يمثل أداة فعالة في تحسين مهارة النطق وتعزيز رضا المتعلمين، إلا أن تحقيق أقصى فاعليته يتطلب دمجه بالتوجيه الصفي المباشر ضمن إطار تربوي متكامل.

Abstract

This research investigates the effect of employing phonetics-based technology through the Duolingo application on improving Arabic pronunciation among learners of Arabic, while also exploring learner satisfaction in digital learning environments. A quasi-experimental design was adopted using experimental and control groups with pre- and post-tests. The sample consisted of 60 students from an international educational setting in Selangor, Malaysia. The findings revealed a statistically significant improvement in the experimental group's pronunciation performance, with a moderate effect size (Cohen's d). However, post-test comparisons showed no statistically significant differences between the two groups, despite the experimental group achieving higher mean scores. The results also indicated a high level of learner satisfaction with the use of the application. The research concludes that the use of Duolingo is an effective tool for improving Arabic pronunciation and enhancing learner satisfaction. Nevertheless, its maximum effectiveness depends on its integration with direct classroom instruction within a comprehensive pedagogical framework.
